Identifying as a feminist or queer separates one from being “just a woman.” What defines a feminist today? What if I don't want to be that, or queer? The NEO Feminist, as I see it, is a human being with an awoken consciousness. One who possesses the ability to reflect on the processes above neurotic experiences and perceptions that lie above the historical narratives and “norms” of the society, as well as the “norms” of gender. Neo Feminist art explores intellect and spirituality as well as sexuality. It breaks through the primary archetypal images of unconsciousness. Its aim is to create new archetypes, to shape a new image of the human being after sapience. An image that lies beyond the current gender roles, and defies convention as we know it. To create a new reality and new point of view. To do so, the old laws and structures must be broken.
