WELCOME PAUL MIKE And it’s here again peeps wow, our 4th issue of Zone magazine fresh of the press, and what a cracker of an issue it is, jam packed to the gills with quality content as usual. Paul and I are delighted to have on the front cover having grown up listening to these legendary dance music dynamo’s Altern 8 in the early 1990’s, when chart Dance music was credible with no real difference with the underground scene (sadly not the case today) who we interviewed in the flesh for a full feature interview. We are also featuring an in-depth interview with one of Irelands fastest rising global techno stars ‘Matador’ aka Gavin Lynch who is signed to Richie Hawtins Minus label. Followed on by detailed feature interviews with non-other than the Progressive - Tech House legend ‘Blue Amazon’ aka Lee softly who is still plying his trade after nearly 3 decades and headlining the Asylum Reunion in Dublin in June. We are also delighted to feature our very own legendary Dublin house DJ Niall Redmond with an in-depth look at his career and influences. Following on from that, we have Scottish & Irish Legends Mallorca Lee & Greg Downey. We also talk to Alex M.O.R.P.H., Gemini Brothers, DJ Meetch and lots lots more.... We will of course have our regular columns from the talented and dynamic Zone crew; Spooky aka Declan McComiskey who will be delivering on his 20 years’ experience as a Mixing Engineer & Producer on all things techy in the studio, with his A1-2 Audio Blog, also Barry O’Brien aka OB who will be writing and vibing about the Irish and international bass heavy reggae vibrations, in his ‘Bazza’s Ragga Stack’ column. Next on the list is top man ‘Jenko’ aka Steph Fagan who’ll be covering all the ‘proper’ old school classics from the late 80s to the early ninety's on his Retro review, and the very talented journalist Adrienne Murphy who’ll delivering the hard hitting stories in her ‘Real World’ Column. We have our regular reports from Brazil, Germany, Miami and now from Mexico, with along with the regular charts, reviews, top tens, club listing and all things that beat. As usual we would like to thank all of our many talented contributors and friends who provide so much content, love and support for what we are doing, they are listed on the left hand column on this page if you want to contact them directly with the latest scoops. From Paul and myself and the whole Zone crew, we just wanted to say thanks again for your continued support, and nice one for reading and feeling our quality Mag, peace. Paul & Mike.
