Trance Scene News....
Well what a year 2014 has been for Trance
DJ’s from Ireland. Let’s start with John O’
Callaghan. What another massive year it’s
been for JOC. Rounding of 2014 in the mighty
The Wright Venue in Dublin was just the icing
on the cake. Massive subculture tours and big
set appearances at festivals and events all over
the world including America, Australia, Canada,
Mexico and of course not forgetting IBIZA.
John has continued to be one of the highest in
demand DJ’s in the world over the last 10
years. His latest tracks are as always mind
blowing, and as always he delivers a
mastermind set with perfection. 2015 has
already started big for JOC as Subculture
returns to New York in January and then he
returns closer to home also to play at the
legendary CREAM Liverpool for a massive night
with Ferry Corsten, Aly & Fila and Simon
Patterson, plus Rob Harnetty who I had the
honour of playing with at the official CREAM
pre party in Ibiza August 2014.
Moving onto another legend and in demand DJ,
Bryan Kearney is finally getting the recognition
his deserved over the last few years. Just like
John, Bryan is also leading the way on the
World Stage. With sets in 2014 in USA, Mexico,
Australia and Canada and all over Europe, plus
incredible sets at Cream Ibiza, it’s no wonder
Mr Kearney is one of the main names on the
Trance stage. His Radio shows Kearnage are
high in demand and his also signed some
massive tracks to his label to date. Early 2015
fans will get to see Bryan at ASOT 700 in
Sydney and Melbourne plus play at the famous
Luminosity in Amsterdam on Feb 20th.
Also another Trance DJ who deserves big
mentions the one and only Paul Webster. Paul
remains a massive force in the Trance World.
With 2014 been another huge year, I think
Paul will agree one of the best highlights was
his Cream Ibiza set in the summer 2014 and of
course featuring on Liverpool FC TV.
2015 has already started brightly where we will
see Paul play in Milan Italy also return to my
hometown Cork for a special set, plus big gigs
in Belfast and of course the massive
Luminosity Beach Festival in the summer with
Headline Paul Van Dyk. Big mention to Mr
Dave Cook, the man that made history in
IBIZA in 2014 with hosting the official Cream
Pre Parties with his massive brand Ibiza Trance
Family.
2015 is set to big an even bigger year for Dave
and for the entire info checkout Ibiza Trance
Family on Facebook.
Also after the huge success of last year's
event, Hard Breed, Filth Clubnight and
TranceArmy Ireland have joined forces yet

Trance Army Celebrate 4 Year
Birthday in Style
Artists Spotlight....CORK
On Friday 28th November, Trance Army
Ireland celebrated 4 years of running trance
events in Ireland. They celebrated this
milestone by putting on one hell of a show in
Dublin’s Button Factory with 3 of the best
trance DJs in the scene right now. Headlining
the night was UK superstar Jordan Suckley.
Having gained a residency on the
internationally revered station BBC Radio 1, as
part of the ‘In New DJs We Trust’ rotation
further cemented Jordan’s inauguration among
the Superstar realms. He’s received high praise
from the likes of Armin van Buuren, Paul van
Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, John O’Callaghan, Simon
Patterson and with both Mixmag and Beatport
tipping him as ‘One To Watch’. When it comes
to his diary it reads like a ‘Most Wanted’ list –
Global Gathering, Creamfields, Cream Ibiza,
Full On Ferry Ibiza, Godskitchen, Goodgreef,
The Gallery, Slinky, The Arches, Lush, tours in
the USA, Canada, Australia & India with further
shows in Holland, Argentina, Bali, Poland,
Hungary, Spain, South Korea and many more.
Jordan, who now owns his own record label
‘Damaged Records’, tore the Button Factory
apart with a psy and tech trance set that the
fans were simply blown away by. Before Jordan
took to the ones and twos, another legend in
the scene Sean Tyas played an hour and 15
minutes of pure trance belters. Throughout his
8 year career, Sean has racked up a multitude
of landmark achievements, including a much
lauded BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix to his credit
—a rare feat by any trance artist. His
discography is filled with 5 mix compilations
and an impressive amount of #1 hits. Tyas'
steady trek to global dominance continues as
evidenced by the recent signing of a high
profile multi-album deal with Black Hole
Recordings, the original label home of industry
greats Tiësto, BT, and Ferry Corsten. His welloverdue debut album is slated for joint release
by Black Hole Recordings and his own imprint,
Tytanium Recordings, in mid-2015. Closing the
night was Polish Mental Asylum DJ Indecent
Noise. Playing live Indecent Noise fully used
the benefits of technology by using an iPad,
laptop and midi controllers with Ableton Live
making his set a special and unique one that
fans will not forget for some time to come.
Indecent Noise has now become one of the
most consistent and hardest working producers
and remixers in today’s modern trance world.
His skill and ability level have improved
enormously since the early days and while
most of his most recent work can be found on
his own label, his music has also featured on
labels such as “Discover”, “Fraction”, “NuDepth”, “Unearthed”, “Spinnin” and
“Subc ulture” to name a few. The success of
this night will surely bring bigger and better
things in 2015 for Trance Army Ireland, who
have already announced they will be launching
‘Trance Army Records’ in early 2015.
Welcome to the second edition of my artists
spotlight feature. Last issue we had the
honour of featuring Cork Legend Jonathon
Nason, and the feedback from the readers and
online followers was amazing in regards to the
Hard Trance man himself. A massive thank you
to everyone that read the feature and also
purchased and downloaded the magazine all
over the world.
This issue been the first issue of 2015, I am
proud to talk about 3 artists from Cork. Keith
LYSPY Keohane, David Donavon and Mr
Anthony Cashman. 3 extremely dedicated DJ’s
who have lead the way for many years with
Radio Shows dating back to the early 2000’s
with the first KLUB FM owned by the famous B
& D brothers. Today the lads are still heavily in
the mix with the music scene in Cork regularly
guesting at nights and on Radio Stations.
around Cork. I remember first coming across
Keith early one morning back when I was
around 13 or 14 years old. It was around 3am
and I came across Keith live on air and in the
mix. I was amazed as he was giving shout outs
and the demand for choons was high so myself
and the mates who planned a ‘all-nighter ‘
decided to stay listening until the show
finished. Keith ended up finishing his show a
few hours later to are delight and it was a night
that myself and the lads still talk about to this
very day. Keith has since gone on to having his
own club night Peak vision, which I had the
chance to play with for a number of times, He
also won an big Irish Battle of the Dj’s event,
which featured some of the biggest names in
Ireland and we also judged a few Battle of the
DJ’s events together at the famous An Cruiscin
Lan a few years back.
To this very day his easily regarded as one of
the most committed DJ’s on the Irish scene.
The other two lads David and Anthony known
to their legion of Cork fans as Dunny and
Cashy were also involved in the pirate radio
days in Cork in the early 2000s. Just like Keith
the lads are very active on the Cork scene
having previously worked for the famous
RADIO NOW alongside Keith and myself and of
course Fusion Radio which is in full effect as
you read this. Cashy has been consistent as
always with his RnB & Hip Hop shows, while
Dunny is dropping the finest house music the
world has on offer.
Dunny tends to tell a very good story, back in
my teenage days when I was 15 years old and
doing drive time shows on Klub FM/ X-FM in
the famous Shandon Street studio straight
after finishing school at 4PM. Let’s just say he
scared the living s**te out of me ha-ha.
Personally it’s great to see the lads still active
today, and playing around the city and doing
fantastic shows on air. Make sure to check the
lads out on souncloud and facebook and
support their work. I have no doubt 2015 will
be another fantastic year for the trio.
