PAGE 4 • JULY 2014 FCSD is launching a Lifetime Brake Pad Guarantee effective July 1, 2014: Under this program, customers purchasing a Motorcraft brake service at a Ford or Lincoln Dealership or Quick Lane will be provided no-cost replacement Motorcraft brake pads for as long as they own their vehicle. This guarantee matches the competition. Your advantage over the competition is the simplicity of how the program is clearly-worded and administered. Competitors programs can be difficult to understand, and may lead to customer confusion. Ford’s program is clear, concise, and customer-driven. Only your dealership or Quick Lane offers the Lifetime Brake Pad Guarantee on Motorcraft brake pad repairs backed by Ford-trained technicians, and the nationwide Ford/Lincoln dealer network! With the Lifetime Brake Pad Guarantee, customers can be assured they are getting the only brake pads designed and manufactured by Ford specifically for their vehicle for as long as they own their vehicle. Please note, similar to Service Part Warranty, the marketing treatment for Ford differs from Lincoln. HOW THE PROGAM WORKS 1. Customer purchases a complete brake service which includes Motorcraft brake pads or shoes and a resurfacing of rotors or replacement of Motorcraft rotors. • That customer gets the Lifetime Brake Pad Guarantee for as long as they own that vehicle 2. Customer comes back to a Ford/Lincoln Dealer or Quick Lane when they need a brake service performed 3. Repair Order charged out less cost of brake pads/ shoes • Customer is required to pay all other costs associated with completing a proper brake service as identified by the technician. Well I am sure we have all experienced this at some point. Below are the top 10 things passengers do to drive drivers crazy. 10. Playing with the radio. It drives me absolutely bonkers when you have a passenger in your car who can’t find a radio station to stay on. They change the station midway through a song or they just keep tuning through all of the stations over and over again. Passengers, please leave the radio alone! 9. Asking are we there yet? I have not had many adult passengers ask this question. However, this is the go-to question for any kid. It is tolerable the first time it is asked. However, once this question is asked it will be asked again, and again, and again. 8. Giving directions. Have you ever had a passenger who knows the “best” or the “quickest” route to take? This is sure to irk any driver. Passengers, unless the driver asks for directions, none should be given. “The one thing you shouldn't do is try to tell a cab driver how to get somewhere.” Jimmy Fallon 7. Using an imaginary brake pedal. I’ve had passengers in the car that may not have confidence in my stopping ability. When coming to a sudden stop they will help out by using their imaginary brake pedal on the passenger side of the vehicle. Passenger’s, even if the driver fails to stop, your imaginary brake isn’t doing anything. 6. Eating in the car. This is sure to happen after you have just vacuumed in interior of your vehicle. Crackers, cookies, cakes and anything crumbly are the worst. Passengers, you will be sure to set off your driver by leaving crumbs Service hours are 7AM-Midnight Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM on Saturday. Quicklane is open from 5AM-Midnight Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM on Saturday www.ZiemsFordCorners.com and perhaps a wrapper from your left over food in the seat of their car once they drop you off. 5. Changing the climate control. The passenger’s comfort should be sec ondary to the driver’s. The driver is in the position of responsibility. It is their job to get the passenger’s safely to their destination. So, it would make sense to make sure that they are the comfortable ones. Passengers, if you feel that you must change the temperature please ask the driver. 4. Putting feet on the dash. This goes back to what most of us are taught as children. Don’t put your feet on the furniture! It is disrespectful for a passenger to put their feet on someone’s nicely detailed dashboard. 3. Slamming the door. There really is not a need to slam the car door. It will shut just fine with a slight pull. I have had passengers slam the car door so hard that I can actually feel the jarring in my head. Not only does it result in a headache it can’t be good on the vehicle. 2. Not offering any gas money. Have you ever driven someone all around town and they fail to offer to help out with gas money? Passengers who hitch a ride regularly or for long distances should at least offer some cash to go towards gas expense. 1. Breaking wind. Now, this goes without saying. But, I will say it anyway. Being that vehicles are such a confined space, any bodily functions should be left for the bathroom or the outdoors.
