Dream come true for Michael by Abigail Kalebwe
Michael Himoosa had a dream of reaching many people with his voice. He had always wanted to pursue a career in journalism but he did not have the funding to attend professional journalism school. Seeking other ways to pursue his chosen career he joined the team of professional journalists at Mosi O A Tunya community radio station in Livingstone as a volunteer. In 2016, while volunteering at the radio station he heard about a training opportunity with Alliance for Community Action (ACA) a Citizen Journalism and Public Service Accountability Monitor (PSAM) course in the ‘Speak Up Zambia!’ project. Seizing the opportunity to bring his dream of becoming a journalist even closer, he enthusiastically participated in the training.
