Exercise
You don’t need to be slaving away at the gym six days a week, in fact the
stress of that kind of impact can do more harm to your body than not.
Aim to do moderate exercise three to four days a week between 30-60
minutes. Choose an exercise that you enjoy whether it is walking,
swimming, yoga or running. By choosing to exercise every other day, it
keeps your body oxygenated, which feeds and nourishes your skin.
Exercise every second day, and give your body a chance to recover every
other day, this causes less stress on your body, which in turn prevents
the toxic build up in your fat cells. When you don’t have toxic build up
you are also able to lose weight much easier.
Drink water
Water is the elixir of life, without water there is no life. Aim to drink 2-3
litres of water a day, this gets into your cells, plumps them up and
diminishes fine lines and wrinkles. Water flushes your body from toxins,
giving you a beautiful clean, dewy and healthy glow. Carry a bottle of
water with you everywhere and take little sips all day.
Eat to nourish
When you eat, eat to nourish. Choose foods that are jam packed full of
nutrients, this feeds your body, feeds your cells and feeds your skin.
When your body has loads of nutrients, it has what it needs to repair
and regenerate your body, and that includes your skin. Eat a diet high in
wholefoods, and try to avoid sugar and processed foods. Some foods
that make your skin glow include:
Fresh fruit and vegetables – eat a varied diet, choosing bright, vibrant
foods every colour of the rainbow such as tomatoes, mangos,
blueberries, strawberries, carrots and beetroot.
