Abstract: In the case of existing EMS, PMS is included, and all systems that make up EMS are
installed in the field. This means that all records are installed and constructed on site, which makes it
difficult to analyze the cause of an accident due to the absence of data in the event of a fire. In addition,
to facilitate analysis of the accident cause, there is no way for an external administrator to respond to
a fire or an error, so that the administrator can respond effectively by revising it and recording it in an
external remote monitoring device. This study suggested and developed a stand‐alone PMS and
remote control / monitoring EMS for safe operation of ESS. The suggested system is constructed so
that stand‐alone PMS is applied to current ESS equipment and external WAS, and data storage unit
operates EMS with remote control and monitoring functions. Through the functional separation of the
existing EMS system, it is possible to operate the ESS securely by improving the system expertise and
giving it lighter weight, thereby solving the general problems of improving the communication and
technical reliability of the existing ESS and operating the ESS.
