4. Conclusions
Most of the consulted references project a scenario of increasing development of PV technologies
and BIPV, with promising efficiency gains, assuming a significant role among renewable sources of
energy generation.
PV technology arrives in Brazil consolidated after decades of development, putting the country at
an advantage to assimilate the experiences registered in other countries. The barriers to the
implementation of the systems are not unsurpassable, being possible to be overcome from greater
technical references that promote a deeper knowledge about BIPV systems.
The lack of definition on the regulatory issue brings uncertainties for entrepreneurs and potential
consumers and, depending on the adopted scenario for the regulatory review of the DG, it can setbacks
for the development of the solar sector in Brazil.
By reviewing the publications, it was noticed that despite the theme is under discussion in several
universities many researchers do not publish results obtained in their theses or dissertations in
international journals; which results in fewer opportunities to share the experience with the
international scientific community and low or no citation of their works.
