Bookshelves settings are spread on either sides of the space and seating arrangements are
located in between them (Figures 6).

Windows are high clerestory French style type (Figures 7) with no direct way for connection
to the outside.
Natural light is accessed through the windows but blocked in areas with the bookshelves or
the offices upper floor. Some study desks have indirect daylight but no views

however, it is not accessible due to the locked exit from the library and the blocked windows.

In addition, student’s behavior within the library space was observed, in particular, the way they
roam the space and their utilization of the services provided. The gathered data from the 4 days
observations are presented in (Table 2)
