5. Results of Modular Unit Unitization and Modularization
5.1. Review of Design Criteria
Detailed guidelines for the design of the Healthy Life Support Center are given in the Bidding for
Designing the Healthy Life Support Center ordered by the National Electronic Procurement System
and in Chapter 1 of Volume IV Annex of the 2019 Guidelines for Improving Medical Services for Rural
Fisheries in 2019. Architectural design guidelines can be used to derive design criteria.
5.2. Basic Module Selection
In determining the size of the basic module for the application of the modular construction method,
consideration shall be given to the transport of modular unit and the vehicle loadable size of the
modular construction method, which is manufactured at the factor and installed after transport to the
site, meeting the basic module required by the design basis, 3.3 m×5.4 m.
In this paper, the basic module of modular unit was selected as 3.37m wide, 5.65m long and 3.3m
high, reflecting the specifications of the limited vehicle operation permit (width 3.4m, length 19m,
height 4.5m) and the basic module of the design basis.
5.3. Unitification Results
Based on the design basis and case project analysis for 28 spaces required prior to the selected basic
module 3.37m(W)×5.65m(L)×3.30m(H), the stair rooms were unitificated for individual space, referring
