One of the good examples to look at when evaluating Corporate Social Responsibility is the learning and development plan for employees which are described clearly in BAM’s sustainability report (BAM report, 2013). The report demonstrates that the company provides continuous learning and training programs to their employees. However, investing on the employees’ education and training is subject to the BAM’s financial performance, where in 2014, the company has issued a memo from the top senior management asking to stop all kind of training in order to cap up the financial loss the company has made in one of its projects.
