Abstract
THE PROJECT I KNOW- METHODS OF DRAMA PEDAGOGY USED IN CLASSROOM PROJECT
Methods of drama education are the answer to most of the tasks and goals, as well as the outcomes we want to achieve in the teaching process. With my example of practice I will show how I shifted the focus of learning from content to role-play and therefore put the students in the center of teaching. By playing the role, they became not only a part of the process, but also gained a major role, and the content they were supposed to acquire becomes only a part of the learning that is implied or it becomes a tool to make a role better. The“ I Know” class project consisted of monthly lectures for parents in which the students presented everything they learned over the past month. Once a month, they published their class magazine“ Knowledge Chest”. Students who needed to learn raw facts for the exam turned into lecturers, photographers, scenographers, quiz leaders, stand-up comedians, storytellers, writers, lecture scientists, creators of mathematical puzzles, choreographers, technicians... To make the project successful, daily classes were re-imagined and I became a member of a drama group instead of just being a teacher. Keywords: journal, lecture, outcomes, project, roles
