First thoughts when someone says, how was it?
When someone asks me that, I give them the short "It was such an amazing experience, I had a great time!" But if someone really wanted to know how it was or what we did, I would have to sit down with them for at least an hour explaining everything we got to experience and see, how I felt during everything, all the interactions I had, showing them all the pictures, etc. I don't like being asked this question because most people want just a sentence answer of me saying if I had a good time or not but this trip is definitely not anything i've ever experienced before and normally not anything like the person asking me has experienced before. So while they want a quick answer, this experience was so much more than the sentence they want to hear from me.
What seemed odd, what things triggered you once you returned back home?
Just today I was in the car with my sister and she broke her phone and got a new one. The color of the phone was not the one she wanted so she was complaining to my mom that she didn't like her new phone. This triggered me a little bit just because I remembered our reflections in Peru about how we realized how grateful we are and the focus on material goods. Those kids in Peru are so
