The 2016 / 2017 year saw the fifth SHE Leads Conference and the third SHE Leads High Conference being held, as well as delivery of the SHE Leads Program and SHE Leads High Program. SHE LEADS 2016 CONFERENCE On Friday 26 August 2016, YWCA Adelaide held its fifth annual SHE Leads Conference at the National Wine Centre, with a sold out crowd of over 270 women. The conference was another successful day of inspiration and connection for women from across South Australia. With the conference theme of ‘Strengthening Your Voice’, our two keynote speakers Gretel Killeen and Taryn Brumfitt both shared their insight, humour and advice about how they have used their voices powerfully to create change and succeed. Breakout sessions were held to strengthen our voices in different areas of our lives, from male-dominated environments, to advocacy, building our own personal brand, and using our voices authentically. Our warm thanks go to these amazing breakout speakers; Major Gen Rueger, Senior Sergeant Joanne Howard, Sashenka Worsman, Sharon Ferrier, and Jacque Opie. 8
