BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS (BBBS) & CONNECT 4 (C4) In 2013 Big Brothers Big Sisters celebrated 10 years of providing quality youth mentoring services for young people in Adelaide. To celebrate, YWCA held the Big Quiz on Saturday 23rd November 2013 at the Norwood Concert Hall. The event was hosted by BBBS National Ambassador and comedian Sammy J and was attended by 170 people. The event included quiz rounds, music by Adelaide band Quadrant and Friends, performances from Sammy J, a silent auction including over 30 items, a wine wall and a raffle. The event raised approximately $8000 for BBBS Adelaide and a lot of fun was had by all on the night! Thank you to all our sponsors, staff, volunteers and attendees for making the event a success. YWCA would like to thank our amazing volunteers (our “Bigs” and “Captains”) who dedicate a large amount of their time to assist all of our “Littles”. They were supported by our dedicated, hard-working Youth Mentoring Team consisting of Sarah Bettany, Jasmine Lister, Claire Tatyzo, Doug Werchon and Fiona Mulholland who we would like to thank for their hard work this year. BBBS is funded by the Department of Social Services and the City of Port Adelaide Enfield.
