ABORIGINAL WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP
PROGRAM
Developed in consultation with local communities and groups, YWCA’s
Aboriginal Women’s Leadership Program aims to assist Indigenous women to
build leadership capacity with a focus on career, culture, family, wellbeing
and women.
In 2013/2014 workshops were held in Northern Adelaide, Western Adelaide,
Southern Adelaide and Port Lincoln in collaboration with local community
groups.
This year:
18 women formed a “Yarning Group” to inform program delivery and
content
69 women participated in leadership building activities and workshops
2 volunteers supported the program
