SHE LEADS PROGRAM One of many SHE Leads Program success stories: Kelly Graham– Sutton Kelly’s first connection to YWCA Adelaide was in 2009 when she attended our Board Training workshop. Kelly attributes this workshop as sparking her interest in joining a board as one of her career goals. After attending the 2012 SHE Leads Conference Kelly declared: “I have never left an event feeling so empowered, motivated and ready to take action in my career I honestly can’t describe the buzz in that room.” Becoming a Member of the YWCA was the next natural progression for Kelly, who went on to be selected as the inaugural Member Scholarship recipient on the SHE Leads Program. “The program was an invaluable experience. I’ve developed strong friendships, broadened by business networks and learnt so much about myself which has helped me to clarify and strive towards achieving my personal and professional goals.” Kelly was a guest speaker at our 2013 Round the World Breakfast, attended the 2013 SHE Leads Conference, has featured in radio and print media showcasing her YWCA involvement, and in October 2013 was one of three women elected as a new Board Director of the YWCA Adelaide.
