17 “ The Sapphire is a gemstone variety of the mineral corundum, an aluminium oxide. Trace amounts of other elements such as iron ,titanium, chromium, copper, or magnesium can give corundum blue, yellow, purple, orange, or a greenish color. You shall amount on it four rows of stones; the first row shall be a row of ruby, topaz and emerald; and the second row a turquoise, a sapphire and a diamond; and the third row a jacinth, an agate and an amethyst; and the fourth row a beryl and an onyx and a jasper; they shall be set in gold filigree. The Sapphire represents one of the tribes in the high-priest’s breastplate (Exodus 28:17-20) ”
