This is the reason why the Mishkan was built from ‘ Atzei Schittim ’ ( cedar wood ). ‘ Schittim ’ is from the word ‘ Shtus ’ ( foolishness ). This then , is the most important Avodah – to transform the foolishness and excitement of the animal soul into “ foolishness ” of Kedusha .
( Something that “ doesn ’ t make sense ,” is called “ foolish ”. Now , in Kedusha – Torah and Mitzvos – too , there are things that “ don ’ t make sense ” – meaning , they are too high or too great for us to understand . We call them “ foolish ” but we don ’ t really mean that they are foolish , but rather they “ don ’ t make sense ” to us .)
