AMUN is a conference with the participation of approximately
30 countries, each with its own delegate. The 5 th Edition of
Algeria Model of The United Nations took place in the High
School of Affairs, Algiers, in September 2018. The event held a
couple of conferences which opened the door for students to
represent their committees (Peace Building, African Union
Refugees, Nuclear Weapons, The European Union) through
various speeches and political discussions, all related to the
countries they represent.
One of the delegates, Bergadi Aymen opened up about his utter
pleasure in having had this experience.” I represented Nigeria.
We basically had to discuss different topics like Child Labour
and Youth Employment in a diplomatic way. Prior to the event,
we had been trained to learn various diplomatic skills. The main
aim of this conference is to find solutions and draw resolutions
for the topics discussed, through the collaboration with other
committees.”
