Abandoned hermit shell. The colors
of the soundwave. Ice cream
sorbet melting on a hot day. Repeat.
Rewind. An old VHS tape, to watch it drip.

Cold tile. Cold damp feet.
Stuck together.
Residue from an ice
cream cone eaten through. Sticky
fingers
prints on mom’s chandelier.
The music hall chandelier- colossal.
Shark jaw teeth lined up for rows. Panic.
Ocean has no cone.
Coral claws
hands like waves. I never
Learned to swim
Surface.
Heart beat
Steady as a metronome.
Unchanging
Currents trace the outline. In sea
rivers unseen by eye
The notes pluck
neurons
Fireworks
and
sandy toes.
