Jessica Ketcham Cascadia College Faculty Jessica writes like she collects; messy piles of specificity and obsession equally dot the landscape of the rooms in her home and in her mind. She takes the composition of nachos, playlists, and love letters to octopuses and squids very seriously. She is currently writing a book about the cultural consumption, manipulation, and production of skin, and spends any extra captured time playing with midi controllers, canvas, and Oregon white clay (separately, though. She’s responsible, after all). Jessica is a professor of English at Cascadia College. Jordin Lee Cascadia Student Letting the tiny dewdrops of my soul rest upon what the day has for me, what God has planned—that’s who I am. I’m eager to play with the emotions that my brain has swirling and put it on paper, making them raw and eager so that every time I read them again, I feel the ache of their joy or pain. Xavier Lopez Cascadia / Bothell Community Member My work is intensely personal and conceptual. I work in many methods, telling stories. I seek to question our most commonly held notions. My work is about associations and creating a discourse between objects, ideas, subjects and the viewer. I love connections; they are my joy, the things I look for at all times and which permeate my work. Feel free to check out my blog here: http://xavierlopezjr.blogspot.com/ Nathan Lorang Cascadia / Bothell Community Member I am a 16-year-old student at Northshore Networks. I love to write poetry and spend time outdoors. I grew up around horses and bonfires, and love to share stories. 112 Gabrielle Anne V. Mangaser Cascadia College Staff I have always enjoyed creating things, whether digitally, or with paint and canvas, photography, or any other materials I can find. This is my first publication, which is exciting. I will be attending the University of Washington Seattle beginning in autumn 2016 as a freshman, and hope to continue creating art.
