I think the laid back approach is good although some
discipline is needed. Golf teaches children be polite to
their elders, it teaches manners as well as how to adhere
to rules and regulations on and off the course.
So maybe we need to start bringing some of this laid back
approach to the UK?
Maybe the reason so many of the kids and teenagers
coming through the golf tours are Korean, Chinese and
Asian is because they get sent over to the states from a
young age and get treated like there wanted.
I remember not wanting to play golf because none of the
ladies wanted to play with me, being told off for having no
collar or wearing a short skirt. The modern day golfer is
global now and I think its time the UK embraced the fact
that children are the next generation of golf clubs. Times
have moved on and we have to embrace it.
