I see this entirely too often with amateurs and my heart breaks for their poor knees. This is a significant power leak in the golf swing and if we could simply add some simple glute (butt) activity and hip stability in this golf swing we may reduce the risk of knee injury and possibly add some speed to your swing! In our last article we discussed ankle mobility and its impact on the swing sequence. We are going to move up the chain and discuss knee stability and optimal hip mobility. This will continue to provide you the best opportunity to create an optimal swing sequence starting from the hips. Let’s start with a simple test: standing in front of a mirror, shoes off.
