You seem fitter this year than on previous years on the
tour, Now that technology is allowing every player to hit
further do you think the extra physical attributes will help
give you the edge moving into 2016?
“It’s something I’ve taken more seriously over the last couple
of years but you’ll see lots more guys in the gym nowadays.
It’s just part of the game but you have to keep working hard.
I feel it’s benefited me in lots of ways and will continue to
do so.”
We recently watched a PGA video of your warm up
session, working through the wedges, down through the
irons, into the woods, then on to the bunker and greens.
Do you have the same session before every round? If yes
why is there no change depending on how the previous
days have gone?
“It’s fundamentally the same routine with a few tweaks

game feeling right.”
What’s the key to a good pre round warm up?

plan your season and how you play each tournament, or
do the Tour events come first and hopefully the results will
see you being picked?
“I talked about this with my manager Chubby Chandler a
long time ago and I know the same was the case for Darren,
that the Ryder Cup and things like that will come if you play
well so you just try to stick with what works. Later on in the
points race, you have the flexibility to change your schedule
a bit. I’ll certainly be trying hard to make the team and I’d like
to appear in more Ryder Cups than anyone else.”
We all hope that you’ll be on the team for next year’s cup,
if you could pick your playing partners for each match who
would they be?
“You’d have to ask Darren that one. I’d play alongside
anyone for Eu ɽ
