FROM THE EDITOR
The constant change of late has been the like old comedy
sketch with Spieth, Day and McIlroy passing around the
OWGR #1 spot like a hot potato. The FedExCup finale finally
halted that as Jordan Spieth won the tour championship,
picked up the PGA player of the year award and his purse
of $22m for 2015.
So have we now arrived with a new “big three”? Jason
Day finally came of age in the majors and although
his spot at #1 was only brief, with the hurdle of the
elusive major now finally cleared he is sure to be a
constant factor along with Rory at each and every
tournament they play. We’re already looking forward
to 2015 and we still have the European Tour Race to
Dubai to indulge in.
Last month the Solheim Cup provided a great
spectacle which was full of controversy but Anna
Whitely was there for us to catch up on the lighter
side of the tournament. Turn to page 18 to read Anna
interrogate the US players and find out who Brittany
Lancome really wouldn’t want to caddy for and what
the US team members really through of their captain!
