The 2015 Solheim Cup:
Behind the Stars and Stripes
There is no doubt that the Solheim
Cup notoriously produces passion,
excitement and fierce competition
amongst both teams either side of
the Atlantic. The rare opportunity to
play in a team environment brings
out some qualities and sides of
the world’s best players that we
rarely get to see. This was no more
evident than in last months heated
battle between Team Europe and
Team USA played at St Leon-Rot in
Germany.
The ‘will to win’ for your team mates
and the desire and enthusiasm to
let no one down always produces
competition to another level. With
a winning record in the last 2
competitions, Europe started the
week full of confidence and went
into the last day with a 10-6 lead.
Perhaps the lead should have been
only 3, with American rookie Alison
Lee losing her match on the 17th
by picking up a short putt when,
with great debate and high drama,
no concession had bee
