WHO ARE BUNKER MENTALITY?
We are an independent brand that is privately owned, we have all had long standing careers in
the clothing industry running large suppliers & major UK high street retailer, so we have a vast
knowledge of clothing industry.
WHY GOLF CLOTHING?
I started playing golf at around 8 years of age and my father was the first ‘golf addict’ I ever
met, he could not stop playing. He eventually gave it up as he couldn’t get his handicap down
below 3 and he became frustrated with the game. This changed my approach to golf which
is why for me it’s all about ‘enjoying the game’ rather than the continuous cycle of unrealistic
improvement.
HOW DID THE BRAND COME TO LIFE?
There once was a magazine called Bogey, it was created by a group of skateboarders and
surfers who also loved golf. It was nothing like the traditional golf magazine, it found itself
a niche in the market focussed on how golf was about to change. This is where the initial
idea for Bunker Mentality came from, the first products were graphic t-shirts with slogans like
‘Who’s Your Caddy’? and “Bad Mutha Putta” it was an in your face view point of golf, our
first customer was the House of Fraser department store. The t-shirts sold incredibly well so
they asked us to extend the line and add polo shirts, the range and the brand just kept moving
forward from that point.

WHY THE NAME?
The name came about because it says ‘golf’ with a different ‘mentality’ which is what we are all
about. Tradition is very important in game but we are focused on creating new traditions and
future classics in golf clothing, the game is changing and we want to lead the charge.
