Savannahh
Along with the "Savannah race track" (now called sand track) which up till the 1990's was used for horse racing, there are several cricket, football and rugby pitches. It is also the home of the Secondary School's Football Championship Division, dubed the "Savannah League" by many.
This 260 acres of unobstructed greenery , lined with large beautiful Samaan and Poui trees, is Port of Spain's version of Central Park. On weekday afternoons and weekends the savannah is riddled with action. This arena is a popular destination for sports clubs, joggers, health and fitness enthusiasts, couples and families.
