Home Support working in partnership with How to get the help and support you need Most of us want to live independently in our own homes for as long as possible and we all have times when we could do with a helping hand. Particularly as we get older some of the day-to-day tasks become a little more difficult. Some of us may need help with personal care, such as washing and bathing, preparing meals, shopping, getting to and from appointments or even cleaning. Age Concern Birmingham together with their partner organisation Jubilee Citizens UK provide a range of services that can help. Our Services Domestic support We offer help with general every day tasks such as ironing, shopping and even accompanying you to appointments. Respite and sitting We offer a respite service for your care giver, giving them the opportunity to have a break from their caring role. This may be for a couple of hours, a half or full day. Personal care support We are registered with the Care Quality Commission for our personal care service. This service is perfect for those wishing to live independently in the community but who require support with daily tasks at home that they may be unable to do themselves. Tailored care We can also offer tailored care packages to suit individual needs and provide quality care, ensuring that dignity is maintained and that people are respected at all times. “We provide our clients with the reassurance of having experienced, reliable and trustworthy helpers to deal with everyday tasks in the familiar surroundings of their own home.” We take the welfare and ultimately the peace of mind of all our clients extremely seriously. All our staff undergo a rigorous recruitment, selection and training process, and they are also required to pass a Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS). Cost Domestic support and respite and sitting We charge a flat fee per hour, there is no long-term commitment, and if you require two or more hours at a time we offer a reduced rate: Cost for one hour: £14.30. For two hours or more: £12.76 per hour. Personal care support £14.55 per hour. Our services are currently available Monday to Friday, 9am- 5pm. “By offering a person-centred approach for all of our clients we believe that we are able to see each one of our clients as who they are – individuals, real people with families, likes, dislikes, existing routines and lifestyles.” All of the staff working for want your experience of our services to be as good as it can be and we value all feedback.
