CV stands for the Latin word ‘ Curriculum Vitae ’ meaning ‘ course of life ’ and is a snapshot of who you are and what you can offer an employer .
→ Usually , a CV is one to two sides of A4 . → Employers use CVs to shortlist potential candidates .
In your CV you should include :
→ contact details ;
→ personal profile – this is a brief paragraph about yourself and why you want the job plus key skills relevant to the job . You should change the personal profile for each job you apply for ;
→ skills and qualities ; → previous employment and / or work experience ( paid or voluntary ); → education and qualifications ; → interests and achievements ; → one to two references from work , volunteering , or college or sixth form .
