Christina Ricci | 1st Recipient of the Generations Wall Legacy Scholarship
New Family Additions
Set to graduate in the 2022 Fall Quarter , Christina Ricci was the first recipient of the Life U Generations Wall Legacy Scholarship , which is available for a D . C . student with at least one family member who is a chiropractor . The scholarship is funded by contributions made by chiropractic families who have placed their names on the Generations Wall . Ricci applied for scholarships offered through Life U and received funding for this scholarship this 2022 Spring Quarter . She was immediately able to put it to use to pay for national board testing fees and other school expenses . Both of Ricci ’ s parents attended and graduated from the Life U D . C . Program and are currently running their practice , Annapolis Family Chiropractic .
“ This scholarship means so much because the whole chiropractic program is a very big investment , and it ’ s an investment in yourself ,” said Ricci . She expanded on her gratitude stating , “ It has just meant a lot to me to have any kind of support and to have [ the scholarship ] through the school especially because both my parents went here , and I am planning to have both of them walk me at graduation . It kind of just has a lot more importance in there with that .”

Receiving this scholarship is so important to Ricci and allows her to focus on her studies . Ricci played lacrosse for Life U for 10 quarters in the D . C . program , so between classes , studying , lacrosse practice and games , there was very little time to commit to external activities . She expressed that this scholarship has given her an opportunity and the support needed so that she may succeed in her program .
In her second-to-last quarter at Life U , Ricci spent the 2022 Summer Quarter completing her PEAK ( Practice , Excellence , Art and Knowledge ) Clinic Program internship in Anniston , Alabama with Dr . Brian Wells . The PEAK program is a program designed to allow senior interns to complete their clinic requirements under the direction of an offcampus doctor . Ricci spent her final quarter ( 2022 Fall Quarter ) in emersion PEAK in order to gain extra credits before her graduation in December . After graduation , Ricci plans to work in the family business with her parents in Annapolis , Maryland .
Although her three sisters have chosen other professional paths , she always felt the love and support of her parents no matter what profession she decided to go into . Ricci said that her parents never pushed her or her sisters to enter the Chiropractic profession , and they insisted that it was important for all of them to find their passion for whatever they chose to do , as Chiropractic is a specific calling that isn ’ t for everyone .
“ The Generations Wall [ Legacy ] Scholarship is a very important scholarship to show how families can go through the program , and I think the impact you can have on each individual person through Chiropractic is really big ,” said Ricci . “ When you see up there [ on the Generations Wall ] and walk past all of the names of the people , their kids and their grandkids — all of that is going so much further than just one person ’ s life being touched by Chiropractic .”

“ When we came down to Atlanta for a LIFEforce Weekend when Fiona was in high school in 2014 , we went on a tour of Life University , and they showed us the Generations Wall . We saw a lot of chiropractors on the wall that we have known over the years back in Michigan . My husband grew up with a lot of the chiropractors on the Generations Wall and their children . We thought , one day if our daughter becomes a
