College of Online Education ( COE ) Fall 2021
The College continues to utilize the latest technology within the curriculum to educate our students on locating and correcting vertebral subluxation . The Palpation and Adjustment Trainer ( PAT ) lab is continuing to help students to sharpen their adjusting skills inside and outside of the classroom . Technique courses are scheduled in the labs as part of the curriculum , and the lab has open times for students to receive extra support with their adjusting skills .
The Anatomage lab has been updated with eight brand new tables . The previous tables were outdated and replaced with new tables that include more features than the original tables . Some of those features include , but are not limited to , male and female cadaver , more tools for students to assess their knowledge , comprehensive Nerve Pathway Interactions , and the ability for students and faculty to access the table on a cloud / remote version .
Lastly , but by no mean least importantly , the College of Chiropractic ’ s student retention rates and completion rates continue to increase !

Once again , Life University ’ s Online Bachelor of Science in Biology has received a national recognition . BestColleges . com ranked Life U ’ s program as the fourth-best online program in the nation . Last year , the program was listed in the top 10 . This marks the second year in a row the program has received such an acknowledgement . The College of Online Education ( COE ) continues to grow in both support and offerings . This Fall , the Bachelor of Business Administration launched as a fully online program . Future programs , both graduate and undergraduate , are being designed and prepared for future offerings .
In an effort to meet the needs of students and faculty , the COE has hired Dr . Joe Lobertini as the inaugural Associate Dean . Dr . Lobertini was drawn to this position within the COE at Life U because of her belief in the life-changing outreach of online , leading-edge programs supported by the backbone of Vitalism . In her role , Dr . Lobertini will focus on faculty and student support and assist the Dean in planning future programmatic initiatives .
Dr . Jo Lobertini was hired by Life U ’ s College of Online Education ( COE ) as an Associate Dean in September 2021 .
Additionally , the COE has hired Dr . Matthew D ’ Alessandro as a full-time faculty member in the Biology program . Dr . D ’ Alessandro comes with a very experienced and diverse background . With this hire , the COE currently has five full-time faculty . Dr . Karen Garcia was recently hired as an Instructional Designer to assist in course development and design . This position was required to keep up with the demand to bring more courses and programs online . The COE currently consists of six staff members : the Dean ,

Associate Dean , Program Coordinator , Instructional Specialist and two Instructional Designers .
The COE continues to increase efforts that support both student and faculty success across all programs . The newly created COE Advisory Committee will be charged to serve as a recommending body to the COE on matters related to online education including , but not limited to , retention ; online student support and success ; online faculty support and training ; online education systems and technologies ; online education policies and procedures ; and online education growth and development .
