Friends We Lost

Dr . Michael Irwin O ’ Daniel , Class of 1977 , died in a paragliding accident in Colombia on February 4 , 2020 . He was an avid paragliding enthusiast who lived life to the fullest . He was always smiling , always positive and full of good vibes . He was passionate about Chiropractic and practiced in Centreville , Virginia . He is dearly missed by all who knew him .
Dr . David L . Taylor , Class of 1977 , passed away on July 28 , 2019 . Cherished son of Shirley Armstrong and the late Guy Taylor , he was the loving father of Kassandra , Gabriel , Angela ( Fredrick ) Malinowski and Emily , and the proud grandfather of nine grandchildren . Dr . Taylor is survived by his wife , Lorraine . He will be missed by many loving family members and cherished friends among whom he lived and practiced in Dearborn , Michigan .
Dr . James P . Powers , Class of 1979 , passed away July 19 , 2019 . A graduate of Kennedy Catholic High School in Somers , New York where he met his future bride , he also earned a B . S . from SUNY Oneonta and was awarded a doctorate from Life Chiropractic College in Marietta , Georgia . Recognized as Top Chiropractor 2015 by NH Magazine , he was also a certified Applied Kinesiologist . He and his wife operated the Hillsboro Chiropractor Center in their home / office for more than 35 years , retiring in 2016 . He was so very proud and grateful that his daughter Olivia has continued care of many of his former patients at her own office in New London . He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years , Pamela Wray Powers and his three children : Jared Powers of Hillsboro , New Hampshire ; Dr . Olivia Weathers and her husband Brooks of Springfield , New Hampshire ; and Mariah Powers and Frank Main , who reside in Warwick , Rhode Island .
Dr . L . Douglas March , Class of 1982 , passed away March 7 , 2020 . He is survived by his wife of 42 years , Barbara Lee March , and daughter Heather Lee Phillips , son-in-law- Matt , grandchildren Colton and Carson , sister-in-law Sally and many nieces and nephews . Dr . March was born in Binghamton , New York and moved to Georgia in 1979 . He graduated from the University of Denver with a degree in marketing . He later received his Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University . Dr . March humbly worked for 38 years as a clinic doctor and served as Clinic Director at Life University for many years . Most recently he served as a doctor in the student clinic . Dr . March had a generous spirit and unique personality . His influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him . He was a loving husband , father and grandfather .
Dr . Barbara Plasker passed away on Tuesday August 27 , 2019 . She was the mother of Dr . Eric Plasker ( Class of
1985 ), Dr . Jordan Plasker ( Class of 1988 ) and Dr . Noel Plasker ( class of 1992 ), as well as grandmother to Dr . Jacob Plasker ( Class of 2016 ), Dr . Emily Plasker ( Class of 2017 ) and Dr . Cory Plasker ( Class of
2019 ).
Dr . G . Clark Stull , Class of 1985 , passed away on March 24 , 2020 . Dr . Stull was born in Madison , Wisconsin and was raised in Valdosta , Georgia . He graduated from Valdosta High School in 1977 where he was a wide receiver for the Valdosta Wildcats and had the honor of playing with
Buck Belue his senior year . He graduated from Valdosta State College where he was a proud member of Delta Chi . He then attended Life Chiropractic College in Marietta , Georgia . In 1985 , Dr . Stull opened Stull Chiropractic Clinic in Macon , Georgia , serving the community for 35 years . He was thrilled to be voted Macon ’ s Best of the Best chiropractor and chiropractic clinic from 2015 to 2020 . He loved his patients and his staff . He considered them all family ! Dr . Stull was active in the chiropractic community , serving on the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners , and was president for the Georgia Chiropractic Association from 2018-2019 . Dr . Stull was also a founding partner of the Academy of Georgia Chiropractors . He is survived by his wife , Donna , and their four children : Joshua Logue , Spencer ( Alyshea ) Stull , Skyler ( Michael ) Wallace , Whitney ( Ryan ) Alexander ; and grandchildren MacKenzie , Adalynn , Bruce and Emersyn .
Dr . Paul Edward Veal , Class of 1986 , of Tibbs , Mississippi , passed away on August 6 , 2020 . He is survived by his wife of 40 years , Diane Moody ; brother Napoleon ; sisters Mattie and Julia ; sons Christopher ( Paris ), Frederick ( Melissa ), Paul ( Shana ), and Damien ( Bernice ); 11 grandchildren ; and three great-grandchildren . Dr . Veal was a devout Christian and philanthropist in his community , donating yearly to a variety of organizations . He served in the Air Force in Guam and then in Georgia , where he found his love for the chiropractic field . After graduating from Life University in 1986 , he established Veal Chiropractic Center in Columbus , Georgia , where he provided holistic services for the last 34 years to folks of diverse nationalities . He will be missed dearly by his family , friends and patients .
Dr . Timothy James McAvin , Class of 2001 , passed away July 17 , 2019 in La Jolla , California .
Dr . Demetris A . Riddles , Class of 2007 ( B . S .), passed away on August 5 , 2019 at age 37 , following a brief illness .
