STUDENT AMBASSADORS

Student Ambassadors Represent Life University and Lasting Purpose

If you ’ ve been to an event at Life University — whether it was a campus tour , graduation ceremony , Eagle Madness Preview Day , LIFE Leadership Weekend or another special event — chances are you met at least one of LIFE ’ s Student Ambassadors .
Unlike other student groups and organizations , the Student Ambassadors are part of Life University ’ s Executive Office , under the leadership of President Dr . Rob Scott . Dr . Lisa Rubin , Director of LIFE ’ s Student Success Center , serves as the Student Ambassadors Advisor .
“ The mission of the Life University Student Ambassadors is to promote the vision , growth and quality of Life University by optimizing the experience of current students , prospective students and special guests ,” Dr . Rubin said .
Student Ambassadors aren ’ t just Doctor of Chiropractic students . According to Dr . Rubin , undergraduate and graduate students are also members of the group , including some who are dually enrolled . According to Dr . Rubin , the interview process to become a Student Ambassador is extensive .
“ If they are front-facing and represent the President ’ s Office , it ’ s all aspects — how they represent themselves in class , off campus , on social media , constantly being great advocates for the University ,” Dr . Rubin detailed .

Life University Student Ambassadors serve as the University ’ s liaisons with current students , prospective students and special guests .
“ It ’ s that non-tangible that really is about how they shine and how they have passion and integrity , and really just want to help serve — that concept of serving Lasting Purpose ,” Dr . Rubin explained . “ I don ’ t think we could solely go down a list and say , ‘ If you have all these qualities , that ’ s a Student Ambassador ,’ because we have amazing leaders across our campus in so many different roles . Some of them play a really great part within Student Ambassadors and some don ’ t , but it doesn ’ t make them any less of a leader .
“ It ’ s that special something . When you see an Ambassador in their role , you know the answer to that — they just shine ,” Dr . Rubin continued . “ They have such an incredible vibrancy that I think really stands out . When they ’ re on , they ’ re on , because they love what they do , not because they have to do what they ’ re doing . They constantly are giving out of abundance , serving as a group of students that just put so much time and energy into representing the University .”
Dr . Rubin said serving as a Student Ambassador is a challenging position that prepares an individual for success after they graduate from LIFE .
“ They have been training all along to be in that serving place so that when they put that into their practice or their business , whatever it is that they go out and do , they continue to shine .”
Your Extraordinary LIFE spoke with Student Ambassadors Patience Canty and Jesslian Rosa about their experiences .
What made you want to become a Student Ambassador ?
Canty : Coming to LIFE Leadership Weekend in April of 2017 was my first introduction to the Ambassadors . Learning about how they were incorporating their passions into their academic study and service to the University was intriguing for me . I knew I wanted to become a part of this forward-thinking group once I became a student . Once I learned about the various opportunities for growth within the group , I knew I had to apply .
Rosa : I came to LIFE Leadership Weekend in October of 2018 . I was already accepted to the
