LIFEforce Doctors Casen and Anthony DeMaria

Will Not Stop

“ I think a lot of people today , they work but they aren ’ t happy with their profession ,” said Dr . Casen DeMaria . “ Every single day , we get really excited to help people and allow their bodies to be the best .”
Dr . Casen and her husband , Dr . Anthony DeMaria , received the LIFEforce Will Not Stop Award at LIFE Vision Extravaganza / Fall CElebration 2020 .
“‘ Will Not Stop ’ is always to continue to share the message of Chiropractic and LIFE with people , and just continue to move forward , especially in this time right now , with what ’ s going on in our world ,” Dr . Casen expressed . “ People still have needs , and you can ’ t stop going forward and helping people through Chiropractic and a drugless message . I think even in this time frame , with Chiropractic and chiropractic practices , people need us more than ever right now . You have to keep going , you have to surround yourself with the right people . That really sums up what LIFE is – you have to be connected with those people who are driven , motivated and have energy , who aren ’ t going to stop .”
Dr . Casen , who grew up in a small town in Upstate New York , was a massage therapist prior to pursing her chiropractic degree .
“ I knew I wanted to do something more to help people ,” Dr . Casen said . “ I was thinking , ‘ You know , I really want to help more people in a drugless way , but I don ’ t know what .’ So I started exploring Chiropractic and physical therapy . My chiropractor went to Life University . As soon as we came to LIFE , I remember just feeling like , ‘ This is the right place for you ’ and just falling in love with Marietta .”
Each of the doctors were part of Student LIFEforce and other student organizations while at LIFE , and Dr . Casen emphasized the importance of getting involved on campus .

in you being successful . There ’ s just a sincere passion to help people , and I think that makes a huge difference .”
“ I think if you ’ re not connected to something , you ’ re just wasting away ,” Dr . Anthony said . “ It ’ s a huge honor to be recognized . We were very thrilled to hear that .”
After meeting during their third quarter at LIFE , the DeMarias began dating in their fifth quarter and were married the same weekend that they graduated from LIFE with Doctor of Chiropractic degrees in December 2011 .
They now practice along with Dr . Anthony ’ s father at The Drugless Doctors in Westlake , Ohio , near Cleveland , which Dr . Anthony described as “ a wellness , subluxation-based family practice .” Dr . Anthony worked at his father ’ s practice while in high school .
“ Observing him in his practice and how much the lives of those people coming in were changed were major contributing factors for me deciding to become a chiropractor ,” Dr . Anthony said . “ Ever since then , it was , ‘ This is exactly what I want to do .’”
“ I speak to a lot of high schoolers , and I have a real passion to help students , even the students in our office . I know we really resonate with them when they ’ re trying to figure out what they want to be and just exploring different options ,” she said . “ We are always talking about LIFE and always asking students and other people , ‘ Have you ever considered being a chiropractor ?’”
Life University ’ s focus on Vitalism and Lasting Purpose are among the many things that sets it above and beyond other chiropractic schools , according to the DeMarias .
“ To love and serve and be a giver , that ’ s something that LIFE emphasizes all around , from the students and the faculty – to be a giver and a doer , rather than just waiting around for things to happen ,” Dr . Casen said .
“ I think there ’ s a different energy at Life University than there is other places ,” Dr . Anthony said . “ With anything in life , you ’ re going to get out of it what you put into it , and that ’ s not just the University ; it ’ s life in general . I feel there ’ s a lot more people invested
Dr . Casen and Dr . Anthony are constantly encouraging other doctors to become part of the LIFEforce tribe .
“ The energy that this group brings – I absolutely love coming back for LIFE Leadership Weekend and the camaraderie of everyone and the zest that everyone has for life ,” Dr . Casen said . “ Some of these docs have been in practice for 40 years , and they ’ re excited ; they ’ re still doing the training for the ropes course , being encouraged and being encouragers for other people . It ’ s been a lot of fun , and I look forward to being a part of the group while also bringing more people in to help share the message .”
“ LIFEforce doctors are some of the friendliest , nicest , most loving people ,” Dr . Anthony pointed out . “ I feel a lot of times , there are people that just want to keep to themselves , but the LIFEforce group is probably the most passionate , loving group of chiropractors that I ’ ve been around . We ’ re involved with our state association and other associations , but I feel the love from the LIFEforce tribe probably more than any other .”
