2010s

Class of 2010 Dr . Linwood Whitten is the Director of Diversity and International Affairs at Alabama State University . He was recently appointed to the Education Steering Committee for The World Games 2021 in Birmingham , Alabama . In addition , Dr . Whitten was appointed to the Diversity Abroad Task Force and selected to serve as the NAFSA Region VII HBCI-MSI Representative for a three-year term .
Class of 2013 Dr . Lauren Regazzo was named Ms . Greater California 2019 by the Ms . America Pageant . She went on to compete for the National Title in August where she received a Special Award- The Media Award . Lauren ’ s national platform entitled “ Well Adjusted ” promoted chiropractic care for underserved communities . She has spend the past several years working in federally qualified health centers , where she has a special commitment to providing care to the uninsured , lowincome and medically underserved .

Friends We Lost

Class of 1994 Dr . John Berezny writes his beloved wife , Kristina Berezny , age 51 , lifelong resident of Long Valley and Hackettstown , New Jersey died Wednesday , May 1 , 2019 . She is survived by a son , Michael Berezny ( 24 ), a daughter , Maria Berezny ( 22 ), her parents , Brian and Angela ( Wilbond ) Tape , a sister , Nicola Calabrese and many nieces and nephews , in addition to Dr . John .
Class of 1999 Dr . Kellie Cosselman passed away on November 1 , 2018 . She owned Optimum Health Chiropractic in Schenectady , New York for almost 20 years . She devoted her career to chiropractic and health care to each of her patients . Dr . Kellie was an integral part of her community , donating hours of her time as a community volunteer in the Schenectady area , working with many organizations and non-profits helping the young to old learn the value of good chiropractic health . She is sorely missed by her family , dear friends and patients .
Class of 2000 Dr . Adam Apfelblat was the owner of Michigan Chiropractic Specialists of Waterford , P . C ., and coowned a second location with his love , Dr . Amanda
Apfelblat ( Class of 2000 ), in West Bloomfield , Michigan . Dr . Adam was a prodigious supporter of Life University , supporting a number of major projects on campus including the Lower Athletic Field , the X-ray positioning lab in CGUS , the Harris Center , as well as the restoration of the Lasting Purpose Fountain . Dr . Adam was awarded the Life University Lasting Purpose Award in 2018 for service to Life University and his community . In addition , Dr . Adam was a longtime member of Michigan Association of Chiropractors .
