Life University has eight Anatomage tables , the largest collection on the planet .
Clinical Care The clinical setting is where students put everything they learn in the classroom into practice with real patients . Life University believes in exposing students to clinical care beginning with their first quarter on campus . Students will see Chiropractic in action as patients and clinical observers before learning to assist in procedures . Eventually , they will run their own micro-practice and care for patients from the community at LIFE ’ s outpatient clinic . Real-life clinical study is also embedded throughout the D . C . program , including extensive case studies derived directly from LIFE ’ s own patient files . In class , students will review patient X-rays , health histories and results , and compare their analysis to what was done in practice .
In addition to extensive hands-on training with expert faculty , LIFE students enjoy providing outpatient clinical care in our unrivaled 30,000 square-foot Center for Health and Optimum Performance ( C-HOP ). In patient education rooms , student doctors educate patients with flat-screen televisions that display digital X-rays for educational films . In the generouslysized examination rooms , they use computerized diagnostic instrumentation to identify abnormalities along the spine and then graphically display the readings via in-room computer screens . In the theater-style Case Presentation Room , the latest digital X-ray equipment enables student doctors to project images in high resolution so that everyone can see the specifics of studies being discussed .
Life University D . C . students now have access to the William M . Harris Center for Clinical Education which was completely remodeled in 2017 . It houses a 23-room Assessment Center with state-of-the-art LearningSpace Technology which allows for video and audio capture . It also features a Master ( Computer-Based ) Testing Center ( MTC ) comprised of more than 70 computer stations used for testing purposes for all academic departments within the University . Students are able to go into that area to take a lecture exam , an exam utilizing digital X-rays , or any knowledge-based formative or summative assessment that could be administered on a computer . Finally , a Diagnostic Imaging and Alignment department is used to teach students diagnostic imaging by using digital and plain film images as part of their educational curriculum . Each room in this area contains two state-of-the-art Epson projectors which allow students to view normal and abnormal X-rays side-by-side , increasing their knowledge of the differences between the two .
The D . C . program also has a state-of-the-art virtual dissection lab that contains eight Anatomage tables , the largest collection of Anatomage tables on the planet . These tables are made from two ultra-high definition monitors joined together and laid flat . Each table is about the same size as the gurneys on which real cadavers are displayed . The tables contain full-size scans of male and female virtual cadavers , and a powerful computer lets students rotate the images 360 degrees . The tables give the students a detailed view of the body systems and even let ’ s them cut the virtual bodies so that they can see the anatomical structures
