the class of October 1982, along with their spouses were
given the VIP tour to the Blue Angels air show in Chicago. A
big thank you goes out to the U. S. Air Force for the show.

Dr. Jim Morvant (’82)
Dr. Jim Morvant has been
appointed by Louisaina
governor Jon Bel Edwards to
serve on the Louisiana Board
of Chiropractic Examiners.
This is his second time
being appointed to the
position. Dr. Morvant also
served a five-year term as
President of the Chiropractic
Association of Louisiana and
is presently the association’s
Legislative chairman.

Dr. Robert Marchese
is happy to announce
his recent marriage
to Dr. Ellen Medina as
well as accepting the
Presidency of District
3 Queens /Brooklyn
New York Chiropractic
Council. Dr. Marchese
said, “I will do my
best to represent our
wonderful profession.”
He is also celebrating
his 30th year in
practice — “it seems like
yesterday I was shaking
Dr. Sid’s hand on stage
at graduation!”

Dr. Rick Humiston is celebrating 18 years of marriage on
June 11, 2018.
Dr. Jeffry Smith (’83) and Michelle
(Zuback) Smith (’89)
Dr. Jeffry Smith and his wife Michelle (Zuback) Smith have
just released a children’s picture book called The Lonely Hawk.
It teaches self-confidence and self-worth with beautiful
illustrations by Dr. Michelle. It also teaches beginning
and advanced reading using ‘current children’s expanded
vocabulary (CCEV)’ in rhyming quatrains. Plus, it has coloring
pages in the back of the book. This is their fourth book
published by Zenith Group Publishing, their company. The
Lonely Hawk can be found on Amazon.
Dr. Barbara Serle (’83)
Dr. Marchese said, “I will do my best to
represent our wonderful profession.” He is
also celebrating his 30th year in practice —

Dr. Nelson Valez
recently retired with
the rank of Colonel
from the Puerto Rico
Army National Guard. He is also the president of the
Puerto Rico Chiropractic Board of Examiners.
Dr. Barbara Serle joined Gary Secor in holy matrimony
August 2017. Also, Dr. Serle’s son Cameron graduated
college with honors and works for Home Depot Corporate.
Her other son Craig (Cam’s twin) will graduate in May from
Columbia University.
