YES-TV will continue its commitment to bringing you news coverage and events from across the District. What’s new will be an updated graphic look and a rejuvenated effort to find even more stories about “students and teachers doing great things.” Evergreen’s new Executive Producer for YES-TV, Matt Griffin says, “I am excited to bring my experience producing television news to Evergreen. We’re going to bring an updated look and feel to YES-TV, while keeping true to the segment’s main goal – telling stories about the great things happening in Evergreen schools. I’m also excited about the opportunity to work with our Digital Arts instructors to increase student involvement in our productions.” With the television industry rapidly completing the switch to high-definition (HD) technology, Evergreen is fortunate to have $137,000 in new HD cameras and video equipment. Purchased through a grant from Comcast Cable, the equipment will allow YES-TV to pursue an aggressive new approach to spreading the word about the exciting things happening in Evergreen Public Schools. You can watch YES-TV and other Evergreen Public Schools programming on Comcast channels 27, 28, 29, and the new HD channel 328. “We’re going to bring an updated look and feel to YES-TV, while keeping true to the segment’s main goal – telling stories about the great things happening in Evergreen schools.”
