MUTUALLY-REINFORCED OBJECTIVES
The 2030 Agenda is not a “to-do list”, but a global programme which various goals are intrinsically
linked and mutually reinforcing. For example, improving society’s environmental awareness in a
country has a positive impact on their aquatic’s health, aquatic plants’ prosperity and the
economic growth of the country. Therefore, the pursuit of climate change and life below water
is a defining principle and a cross-cutting element of all network activities, while its ultimate goal
is to reduce marine debris and water pollution.
As YoungShip Tanzania is about reaching out to people who know little or nothing about the
maritime industry and is funded by industry and educators. It is neither political nor commercial
and its solid web-based structure with its responsive design for media devices from desktop to
tablet to mobile phone has an enormous potential for outreach to all generations in a cost
effective and efficient way. We are focusing on SDGs which is Quality Education and Climate
action.
