YoungShip Oslo had another successful year in 2022 hosting several social and educational events , with Young @ NorShipping in April serving as the highlight of the year .
The YoungShipTech seminar took place at the Norwegian Shipowners Association , sponsored by Kongsberg Digital , and the Young Environmental Seminar at DNV . The Christmas party hosted by Clarksons was also a success . The group has a diverse group of sponsors , providing insight into different aspects of the industry and networking opportunities .
The Young @ Nor-Shipping working group put together a great three-day program with panel discussions , representatives from different parts of the industry , and networking opportunities . The organization sees a strong interest in YoungShip Oslo among members and partners , with leading companies in the maritime industry wanting to cooperate with the group . Most of the events were fully booked within a short time , demonstrating the group ' s importance to young professionals in the maritime industry .
The 10 Women to Watch award for 2022 aims to promote hardworking and inspiring young female talent in the maritime industry . YoungShip Oslo hosted the award for the third time , and a separate event was held to announce the winners . The award serves as a platform to recognize and celebrate the achievements of women in the maritime industry and encourages more women to pursue a career in this field .
YoungShip Oslo thanks everyone who contributed to the events in the past year . Several events had waiting lists , which indicates an expansion in the group ' s membership . The group attracted speakers from different companies within the maritime industry , including several industry leaders . The board will consider whether similar events should take place in the coming year , based on the most successful events over the past few years .
