YoungShip Bergen is committed to providing a platform for sharing knowledge and gaining competence , as well as building a social and professional networking platform for members . Despite the challenges posted by Covid-19 restrictions , the board successfully organized 13 events in 2022 . In addition , the organization experienced significant growth , with 137 new members joining during the year .
The event calendar for 2022 consisted of a mix of educational and social events , including the annual ShipCon conference , a joint event with the Bergen Shipowners ’ Association , and various social gatherings . The events were well attended and highly appreciated by members .
YoungShip Bergen ’ s membership base grew significantly in 2022 , with 137 new members joining the organization . Despite this growth , there is still work to be done to increase female representation , which currently stands at 36 %.
The board is committed to continuing the success of 2022 and providing a mix of educational and social events for members . The annual ShipShuffle tournament is scheduled to take place shortly after the General Meeting . The organization will continue to focus on the growth of its membership base while striving to achieve greater diversity and inclusion .
The board would like to express its appreciation to all members for their participation and support . A special thanks to sponsors and supporters who have helped make our events possible . YoungShip Bergen is looking forward to a successful 2023 .
