YoungShip Türkiye organized several events and initiatives in 2022 that helped our members network and grow .
In January , we organized an award-winning photography contest with Atilla Gökova . The winner received sailing lessons as a prize . In March , we co-hosted a webinar with Fehmi Ülgener , ICS Turkey , to discuss how the Ukraine crisis has affected charter agreements .
In May , we gathered with the Pearls of the Sea Association , and our board member , Sinem Ogiş , gave a talk at the maritime associations ' women ' s speech event . We also celebrated International Women ' s Day by posting on our social media accounts the inspiring speeches and resumes of 13 female sailors who had achieved great success in the maritime industry .
As part of World Environment Week , we cleaned our beaches to make them more livable . We organized a dinner event in Istanbul in June with YoungShip France , Turkey , and Hamburg . In September , we held a general assembly and changed the board of directors and supervisors . We also hosted a New Year ' s Eve dinner at La Cigale Izmir in December
The new board includes President Alican Şişmanyazıcıoğlu , Vice President Selin Oğiş , General Secretary Çiğdem Karataş , Finance Müge Büber , Events Coordinator Ozan Canlı , International Relations Sinem Oğiş , Project Manager Selçuk Aydın , International Affairs Ece Birinci , Communication Tim Van Den Bekerom , and Yunus Alçimen as Digital Marketing . As a supervisory board , Halil Ege Arkayin , Egemen Aygun , Ömer Arslan , Murat Acar , Fikret Tuna Akdemir , and Sinan Can Okutan were elected .
