YoungShip Nigeria have been actively engaged in numerous activities throughout the year to achieve its goals and objectives of promoting the development of the maritime industry . One of the primary activities includes the annual election of competent and experienced individuals to lead the organization towards achieving its mission .
At the Annual General Meeting of the organization on April 9th , 2022 , the outgoing Excos of Youngship Nigeria formally handed over the reins of the organization ' s administration to the incoming Excos . Mr . Shehu Popoola-Taiwo and his team assumed full responsibility for the administration of the organization , including planning and coordinating all its activities .
In pursuit of its objective to foster the development of the maritime industry , the Excos of Youngship Nigeria also paid a visit to the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency ( NIMASA ) and met with the Director-General of the Agency to discuss how they can collaborate to achieve this objective . The Director-General acknowledged the efforts of Youngship Nigeria and pledged to support the organization whenever needed .
Moreover , the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency ( NIMASA ) appointed Youngship Nigeria as a member of its Sub-committee on Marine Litter Marshall , which is responsible for ensuring clean waterways in Nigeria and eliminating all forms of marine pollution .
In conclusion , Youngship Nigeria has been committed to promoting the development of the marine industry in Nigeria by ensuring proper administration and partnering with various like-minded stakeholders . Through its numerous meetings and activities , the organization has continuously contributed to the growth of the maritime industry nationwide .
