YoungShip Italy had a productive 2022 , with a focus on promoting meetings and discussions on current topics in the maritime industry .
The organization carried out many activities , including sponsorship of conferences such as RoMare and a visit to the Italian Navy Fleet Command along with hosting seminars together with other three youth shipping organizations during the Naples Shipping week . Members were invited to various webinars , organized by the Young Shipowners Group , addressing topics such as energy transition , sanctions , autonomous ships , and the commodities market .
The strong and long-lasting collaboration with the other youth shipping organization , in particular the Young Shipowners Group of Confiratma ( Italian Shipowners Association ) and the Young Group of Federagenti ( Italian Federation of Agents and Brokers ), which were the founders of YoungShip Italy in 2013 , still represents a fundamental milestone and an added value for all members .
The organization also saw an increase in new members , bringing the total to more than 65 . In 2023 , YoungShip Italy plans to resume relations with nautical institutes and universities and consolidate relationships with other YoungShip branches .
