Belgium ( Annual Report 2022 )
The year of 2022 marked our fifth year of existence . During this year , we saw life returning back to normal after the pandemic . YoungShip Belgium could finally organize normal events again and meet our members , sponsors and maritime companies face-to-face .
Our first event of the year was digital NY drinks together with a webinar from Navitec . We had some returning events such as the ocean film festival , after work drinks , the sailing regatta and the river clean-up . Also new events such as a yard visit to ERD , the tall ship race visit , Sailing and BBQ at Galgeweel , and Company visit at Smulders . For the very first time , we also organized the Young Antwerp Anchorage conference .
In 2022 , YoungShip Belgium have been seeking more collaboration with other chapters of YoungShip , with fellow young maritime organizations in both Belgium and neighboring countries . The bond between YoungShip Belgium and YoungShip Rotterdam , YongShip Cyprus , YoungShip Finals and the Norwegian Chapters was particularly enhanced . This year , we also attended both Nor-Shipping and ShipCon in Norway .
For 2023 , we strive to organize even more ambitious events and keep on looking for collaboration inside and outside of Belgium .
