SHADES OF LIFE The red and the black: Two colors that allow me peace. The strong one burns in a quiet light That gazes at the world but does not dare to touch it; The dark one tastes the flame In a warm and cold becoming. This way I can look at what surrounds me: Look at my feet in the water and yet be on it, My hands taste the wind and never tighten it, My eyes so in the nature, So set in a picture of perfect imperfections Without ever becoming The oil that creates the canvas.
