Parent Rep : Ally Roberts Children ’ s Hearing Service Working Group ( CHSWG )
I would like to introduce myself as the newly appointed parent representative for CHSWG . This group meets once a term and comprises people involved in working with hearing impaired children including : audiologists , teachers of the deaf , speech and language therapists , social services , health .
Having a hearing impaired child myself and working as a specialist teaching assistant for hearing impaired children , I am aware of the challenges faced by parents of deaf children . I am here to represent your views at these meetings , express any concerns , request information and feed back to you .
