Annual Fundraising Report 2013
We have been very grateful this last year to receive funding from Bucks County Council to aid our staffing costs and allowing us to attract highly qualified managers and helpers . In addition we have received some extra money under the Aiming High scheme to provide outings which have been greatly enjoyed by YDA members .
We received a final donation from Children in Need and are grateful for the funding they have given us over the last three years . Happy Days donated money to help with the costs for the Christmas party and pantomime trips .
Local organisations have also given generously but perhaps most gratifying have been those donations given in memory of a loved one . We should like to say a big thank you to the families and friends of Colin Powell , Saskia Barrow and Daniel Maggs .
Recently we have formed a link with Action on Hearing Loss who are contracted by Bucks County Council to provide services for the sensory impaired . Included in this are the services we offer in our Home Communication programme which means we can claim for funding for any new families receiving signing tuition . This will help us considerably and means that we can offer this valuable and unique service to more families .
Fund-raising efforts have included signed carol singing last December where our thanks go to the staff and pupils of Stoke Mandeville School and walking for YDA in the Red Kite Ramble . However we cannot guarantee that any of this funding will continue on a regular basis so we are always on the lookout for new donors and new ideas for fund-raising . All suggestions are welcome !
THANK YOU Alison Stacey and Stuart Lee : Trustee / Fundraisers
